I always anticipate the harvesting of our apple tree by a flock of bluebirds that pass through every winter. To my surprise, this year they brought friends, and lots of them! I was surprised to find that so many Robins were feasting as well. In a matter of days they devoured all of the berries. The fox was another passing surprise one chilly, school-delay morning.
